Kate Winslet, Heath Ledger and Slumdog Millionaire

As we mentioned the late Heath Ledger was a favorite at the Golden Globes and he won for best supporting actor. We will certainly miss his talent in the future. Kate Winslet won the daily double for leading and supporting roles and once again shows why she is a continual acting force. I personally thought that the performance by Angelina Jolie in "The Changeling" was deserving of an award. No surprise for me on "Slumdog Millionaire". I have been telling friends and family since the day the movie premiered that this film would win best picture at the " Golden Globe Awards" and the "Oscars" and last night it swept the categories it was nominated for including "Best Picture". If you haven't heard of Slumdog Millionaire before or haven't thought of seeing it then I would highly recommend changing some plans and going soon. Mickey Rourke is the come back adult of the year with a best acting statue. It remains to be seen whether he can mature into a normal individual long enough to maintain the stardom that he now has a chance of achieving. He is certainly a talented actor and I hope this time his demons don't overshadow that immense future potential and talent. As expected the Hollywood Foreign Press pulled off another great Golden Globe Awards!
