While fans of Kris Van Assche's edgier, urbanite collections may have heaved sighs of disappointment when his Paris fashion week show came to a close, others were happily taking in the smart yet relaxed aesthetic. For fall 2011, Van Assche turned to suiting: but it wasn't of the strictly tailored kind.
Jackets were often collar-less, or with high funnel necks. Exposed zips took the place of buttons. Pants were lightly relaxed, tucked in at the ankle. Loose and particularly cosy plays on the season's camel coat were striking.
