I was just theorising the other day about the death of the skirt suit; the theory being that there's a desire to prove our style credentials by mixing together un-matching pieces rather than matching ones. Of course the uber-stylish Caroline Sieber steps out in this ensemble as if to prove that the skirt suit is not dead. Or rather, that if you are going to wear one - right now - this is the way to do it.
A mini hemline, some contrasting fabric peeping out from the sleeves and/or collar, and a playful accessory like a bow around the neck; apply these elements and the skirt suit can still be unique, chic and, maybe even, back on trend.
